CRICKET – IPL

After the very successful and mammoth IPL – Indian Premier League (20 20 cricket tournament) in 2008, the expectation for the second edition this year is very high among the cricket fanatics and common man. The new hassle to the fixing up the tournament this year is the coming up of the general elections in India. After, many state governments refusing to provide the security to the IPL matches as they were clashing with some of the polling dates, it has been finally decided to take IPL out of India (only this time). The countries under consideration are England and South Africa with England as the more preferred venue. The last year champion was the ‘Rajasthan Royals’ lead by the mighty leg spinner Shane Warne and the runners up was the ‘Chennai Super Kings’ lead by the Indian skipper Mahindera Singh Dhoni. The Cricket Board of India has gone for SORRY to its IPL fans and promised that the next edition would return to India for sure.
